On 1-2 February 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Job of Pisidia was in Athens to cut the Vasilopita (Cake of Saint Basil) of associations of descendants from the Holy Metropolis of Pisidia who live now in the capital of Greece.
On 1 February, he cut the Vasilopita of the Society of Mediterranean Culture, founded by the late Metropolitan Sotirios Trambas. On that occasion, he presented the work of the Holy Metropolis of Pisidia. A short film was also shown about the last year’s pilgrimage of the Society to Cappadocia, Alanya, Side and Antalya. Father Angelos Vakalopoulos spoke about the festivities of the 180th anniversary of the church of Saint Alypios in Antalya last December and the pilgrimage to Myra. To conclude, the choir of the Association of Alagiotes performed a brief concert.
On 2 February, Metropolitan Job presided the Divine Liturgy for the feast of the Meeting of the Lord in the Holy Metropolis of Peristeri (Athens), in the church dedicated to that feast, in concelebration with the local archpastor, Metropolitan Grigorios, who had invited him, and the local clergy.
Later, he cut the Vasilopita of the Society of Historical Studies “Lykia”, which has visited our Metropolis last September.
