Mother of God of Pisidia in Mahmutlar-Alanya

The Church of the Mother of God of Pisidia exists in Mahmutlar, a suburb of Alanya, since 2015. This is the first church that was built since 1922 to serve the needs of local Orthodox Christians, with the permission of the local authorities. The construction of the church took only three and a half months and began thanks to donations from believers from various parts of the world, mostly from Greece, according to the project of the architects hieromonk Theologos from the Holy Mountain and Emine Kochak. On November 15, 2015, the church was solemnly opened by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and since then the church functions daily. It is located in a mountainous region, north of the municipality of Mahmutlar, 7 km from the city center.

Parish priest: Economos of the Ecumenical Throne Konstantin Shevchenko.
Attached clergy: Priest Sotirios Murenia, Deacon Grigorii Okhanov.
