Saint Alypios' in Antalya
Saint Alypios Church in the old town of Antalya is the former household chapel of the Danielidi family. According to the founding inscription, the church was built at the expense of the cousins Eustratios and Ephraim Danielidi in 1843-1844. After the events of 1922, it became a private property and had been abandoned for about 85 years. In 2009, the Ecumenical Patriarchate was able to purchase the church and restored it thanks to the financial support of Greek friends. The church functions daily as the center of the Holy Metropolis of Pisidia, to meet the growing needs of all the Orthodox faithful in the region.
