His Eminence Metropolitan Job of Pisidia took part in the International Conference on “Orthodox Theology in the 21st Century: Challenges and Prospects,” organised by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens from 24–28 November 2024, under the auspices of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. The conference was inaugurated by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew who deliveres the keynote address.
During the session on “Orthodox Theology and Inter-Christian Dialogue (1948–2024)”, Metropolitan Job spoke about the results and the perspectives of the official international theological dialogue betweeb the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, which he co-presides with Cardinal Kurt Koch.
The conference, bringing together 150 leading Orthodox scholars, addressed the Church’s dialogue with sciences, culture, and spiritual currents, contributing to broader theological discourse. It was the third conference of that type organised by the University of Athens, after the ones of 1936 and 1976.
