On Sunday 22 September 2024, a group of 22 pilgrims from the Union of Sparta of Asia Minor, from the Holy Metropolis of Nea Ionia, visited the church of Saint Alypios in Antalya during their 8 days visit in the land of their ancestors. The group under the leadership of Mr. Stavros Papagerasimou had visited Izmir, Isparta, Alanya, Side, Aspendos, Perge and Antalya.
His Eminence Metropolitan Job of Pisidia welcomed the group that venerated the icons in the church and told them the history and the life of the parish and the Metropolis of Pisidia. In response, Mr. Papagerasimou told some memories from their ancestors and the activities of the Union.
An exchange of ideas about common projects continued over coffee which was served for all those present by the parishioners in the court of the church.
