His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch was invited by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, His Excellency Mr. Hakan Fidan, to the third Antalya Diplomacy Forum. He flew there on the morning of Friday, 1st March, accompanied by His Eminence Metropolitan Stefanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos.
At Antalya airport, the Patriarch was received by the local archpastor His Eminence Metropolitan Job of Pisidia with the clergy of his eparchy.
His All-Holiness attended the opening session of the Forum, held in the Belek Conference Center, during which the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the President of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke, and in the evening he returned to Istanbul.
The topic of the Forum was “Promoting diplomacy in times of crisis”, and 4000 delegates participate in it, including many Heads of State and Government, Ministers, Ambassadors, etc.
During his presence in the Forum, the Patriarch had a cordial communication with the Prime Minister of Hungary, His Excellency Mr. Viktor Orban, Ministers of the Turkish Government, Ambassadors accredited to Ankara with whom he has friendly relationsand with other personalities.
