His Eminence Metropolitan Job of Pisidia visited Athens from 18 to 21 November 2025, at the invitation of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, to participate in the conference organized by the Faculty of Theology on the occasion of the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea.
He participated in the opening session where the main speaker was His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia on the topic: “The First Ecumenical Council: Foundation of Faith, Expression of Synodality, Timeless Witness of Unity”.
Metropolitan Job of Pisidia, for his part, delivered a communication on the second day of the conference on the topic: “Ecclesiological and Ecumenical Dimensions of the First Ecumenical Council”.
During the conference, the Metropolitan of Pisidia met with His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece, and with his permission, presided over the all-night vigil and Divine Liturgy for the feast of the Presentation of the Theotokos in the church of St. Andrew in the district of Ano Patissia.
