On 28-30 November 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Job of Pisidia, his auxiliary bishop, His Grace Bishop Amvrosios of Eudokiada, and a small delegation of clergy and laity of the Holy Metropolis of Pisidia took part in the celebration of the Thronal Feast of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. This year’s celebration coincided with the official visit of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and the joint commemoration of the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea.

On 28 November, Metropolitan Job of Pisidia and Bishop Amvrosios of Eudokiada joined the hierarchy of the Ecumenical Throne in the common prayer that took place near the lake of Nicaea (Iznik), by the foundations of the antique basilica of Saint Neophytos which was built near the former palace of the Holy Emperor Constantine, where the First Ecumenical Council took place. The common prayer was presided by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with the participation of His Beatitude Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria, the official delegates of the Patriarchates of Antioch and Jerusalem, and representatives of the ancient Oriental Churches and of the Protestant world communions. It is worth mentioning that during the ceremony, the Creed of Nicaea-Constantinople was recited without the Filioque.

On 29 November, the small delegation of the Metropolis of Pisidia attended the doxology service for the reception of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the patriarchal church of Saint Georges at the Phanar, and afterwards, the great vespers for the feast of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called that were presided by His Beatitude Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria. On that evening, Pope Leo XIV and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew signed a joint declaration about the rapprochement and the theological dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, and their common witness and cooperation.

On 30 November, the festive Divine Liturgy was presided in the patriarchal church of Saint Georges at the Phanar by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, in concelebration of His Beatitude Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria, the official delegates of the Patriarchates of Antioch and Jerusalem, and the synodal metropolitans, in the presence of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and his delegation. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Pope and the Ecumenical Patriarch addressed each other and blessed the assembly.
